How to "Set Up Position" for chess960 and make moves for analysis?

I played in a live chess960 tournament today. I want to:

  • Set up the opening position in Learn>Analysis>Set Up Position
  • Make the moves in the game
  • Analyze the game and get a Game Review
  • Export a PGN file

I can set up the opening position and make some moves, but castling doesn't work. I don't know how to let the Analysis feature know that I'm playing chess960. Does anyone know how to do this?

If this isn't possible in chess.com, is it possible in en-croissant or another chess GUI?

When you set up the position, you need to click on the boxes

It should look like this

Thanks for the answer... but I tried this and it didn't work.

Analysis should support 960 positions, including castling, if the options were correct on loading the game. Can you provide a PGN of the start position?

I went to Learn>Analysis>Set Up Position, then created a chess960 position by swapping the queenside knight and rook for both players.

I checked all four castling boxes, then clicked Load.

I made a few moves to enable a-side castling, but I was unable to castle. Below I've pasted the PGN from Share Game at that point (I noticed that Qq is missing from FEN indicating that a-side castling is available, even though I checked all four castling boxes).

Looks like analysis is stripping out Queen side castling rights. I'm going to test a couple things and report it

Thanks for your help, much appreciated! Just FYI, Analysis is also stripping out kingside castling rights. Here's an example PGN where I couldn't castle to either side:

There's a bug. If the position has the rooks or kings on the non-standard starting squares it is removing castling rights.

I have reported it to staff

Found out there's a special FEN for 960 type positions.

This should work

[Event "?"]
[Site "?"]
[Date "????.??.??"]
[Round "?"]
[White "?"]
[Black "?"]
[Result "*"]
[SetUp "1"]
[FEN "nrbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/NRBQKBNR w HBhb - 0 1"]
