This thread has 210 posts. It reminds me of Chomper's ridiculous threads. ChessDotCom let that one run far too long as well. Maybe they think threads with high-number counts improves business but, in my eyes, it does the opposite. They speak of having a set of values but don't (always) live up to it.

Well. Now I'll stop or I'll get myself banned. But I'm saddened by the entire thing, seeing people I like at each others' throats over politics and racism ... two of the most sickening topics there is. And true ... of the 210, a lot of them were mine (but only in trying to stop it). If we don't stand up, who will? Obviously this website shows bias toward high-number threads.

Perhaps you meant government instead of country. Isn't the country its people, since nature only has mountains, rivers and oceans as borders?

I agree to taking a stand ... but against political parties and governments not against regular folks trying to play with others from around the world.

The thing I love most about forums is meeting people - wonderful and sweet and caring people and even using translator to chat with them - this all is what makes Chess.com great. All of us people who just love a game. It should be bringing us all closer. It saddens me, is all.
