I can't see any patterns, any combinations or any good moves

Hello, a 200 elo rated player here. Recently, I am unable to spot a good move. I can visualize the moves that ensue a certain move, but I constantly struggle with pinpointing a good move that I should play. When I try to apply methods for finding good moves, I merely end up staring blankly on the chessboard. Checkmates in middle games have been difficult to find, even when there is a obbvious mate in 2-3 moves. 

The board looks like a jumbled up mess of pieces to me now, what tips or ideas would you give me to help across this plateau?

L u should botez gambit. thats how u win

At your level just try not to hang pieces in one move and you will be fine. With time, you will start finding tactics above 2 moves. Try to capture you opponent's hanging pieces too.

Doing more tactical puzzles should help.

I suggest doing daily puzzles, especially if you need to learn basic patterns do puzzle rush
