thanks for replying ... trust me, I have been. I'm just puzzled by it. It reflects carachter and can it be that most players are ******?
I dare say the unspeakable "rematch"

Some don't want a rematch after a loss. What does the online chess etiquette book say about rematches?
I don't rematch mainly just because I get a kick out of people going off on me about it. In fact I just had a guy cuss me out for not giving him a chance to repair his fragile little ego. I love it! People are such big babies online lol.

I no longer give rematches. In the past I found they could turn into 20-match marathons and I'd rather not get into that kind of ego battle. Plus I enjoy playing lots of different people, and re-encountering familiar players by chance. When an opponent gets bent out of shape over it, or calls me a coward, I just laugh and move on.
OK OK,,, before everyone jumps on me understand that I get that there are times when someone has to go, cant play and blah blah blah.... but I'm telling you that a lot of members here just don't want to play rematch (that is unless they lost).
If asked I will always give rematch. I am not a strong player so its not like this thing matches me up with people that just don't wanna be bother with beginners. So WHY?
Those that do it will know.
I have given a rematch and person wins I ask for a rematch they just leave. Not even to say something like sorry can't (since I was kind enough to let them have it)
