For reasons this older gentleman will not get into...I enjoy just playing bots. I have enjoyed Chess.com for many years without being a member because I personally would not benefit with the perks that are offered. I don't care about ratings...I simply enjoy chess without all the drama. I will go to the local chess club on occasion to play and that's it. I follow the tournaments on Chess.com and read some of the questions/comments on the forum.
Have been playing chess since the early 70's and I simply just enjoy this game that at times requires a name or a face to be across from you. You are playing a personality when online who you may not know, just play the game and enjoy it and be gracious.
The rantings of an older gentleman....take it for what it's worth...which ain't much!
Don't let them get to you. Maybe it's a part of their strategy.
