Well, interesting topic anyway. Very polemic (literally haha), though some of us prefer complaining instead of arguing.

Sincerely, I know what was your intention when you said "you don't like proud chess players", but be careful with your words... Sometimes it may have another sense and then you know what happens next lol. Anyway I guess you're refering to presumptuous people, don't ya? If so, then you're right. It's incredible, but here in my city, there's a club of chess and when I go there I see a plenty of chess players but only one who is presumptuous and only he is necessary to bother everyone... but the secret is just keep calm and laugh to him and everything will run well. 

Now, Adriano, we both are brazilians and you know that English is way more different than Portuguese and there are cognates and sometimes we say a word but in fact this word has totally a different sense. But I know it's not your fault lol... it's fault of this country of shit where we live... but it's another topic and it doesn't matter at all. Anyway I suggest you to go to cambridge dictionary, it's a perfect place to clarify you about a few words when you're not sure about one or other. Or if you want and if I'm able to, I could help you out within my limits
