I think ajttja got muted

Everything ajttja ever posted is gone. Which, as some of you know is quite a volume. Speculations? I don't remember him saying anything ban-worthy... He was a jerk to Sebleb..

I know it. He's a celebrity. Up there with macer and you.

I guess the staff didn't want him creating threads ranking people on chess.com?

Seems like that wouldn't merit a mute? Maybe the told him to stop and he didn't. Wonder how long it'll last. Isn't it usually only a week or two?

        According to a thread started yesterday, somebody "bought" his account in an "auction". He wanted to know how to amend the profile.

I noticed his threads have gone but I don't know why. He always seemed ok to me. I've never known him to say anything that would get him banned from the threads. Maybe some people can't take a joke. Who knows?

Such a shame because I had high hopes of winning his hurt/heal thread. 

Come back ajttja, all is forgiven! 

He was toally kidding. That was obviously fake. I thought it was pretty funny!

Wait. His ratings are reset too. There's no way some one actually bought it right?

Of course not. Clearly the staff didn't put much thought into it. They do act first think later sometimes.

I'm actually feeling a little guilty since I was a prime "enabler" of the thread that led to his rating reset and apparent muting.  It was a fun troll thread in which ajttja pretended to be a Scotsman who had just bought the account for $200 and was wondering if it was a good deal and if the previous owner had a good reputation.  Like all good threads some of the innocent but gullible got caught up in it and some of the passive aggressive () took an opportunity to say some things that shouldn't have been said about our well meaning but occasionally irritating favorite French Canadian adolescent.  Sometimes I just can't help living up to my user name...I'm actually surprised I didn't get at least a warning from staff myself.

Whoah, I missed the part about Seb... Did ajttja say anything about him? Eh, you seem like a good guy baddogno, dont let it bother you.

I think I'm in the minority, but I think the staff does an excellent job when it comes to muting users... I just hope ajttja doesnt go all GCB and delete his acount.

Don't feel guilty. I was the one who gave him the idea. Well... I didn't tell him to create a thread saying that somebody bought your account per se, but I did say to him once that it would be interesting to create a troll thread using an alter ego, and I used my "What has Macer75 been doing" thread as an example. After I said that came up with this idea and told me about it, and I was like, that sounds great!

So anyway... sorry Ajttja. I didn't realize that saying somebody bought your account would elicit such a strong reaction from the staff.

Btw, does anyone remember the name of the person who supposedly bought ajttja's account?

He did create a thread saying a few not-so-nice thigs about Seb. But lots of people do that, and they don't get banned. So I think it was because of the "somebody bought my account" thread (and btw I never saw that thread) rather than the one where he dissed Sebleb.
