Right now the only way to get the achievements is by promotion to a new league. The site is working on a method to backfill those that don't promote or can't. It was live for a few days and removed after it was causing issues on mobile.

@martin_stahl that’s not true. Another way is going to your profile and clicking on the league icon. That got me the league achievements, and it should for you.

I don't want to win the legend league, bc if you get 1st place in legend league you wont get anything.

you get into the legend league club and then if you win the monthly arenas, you get cash

Yes, that worked when the backfill process was live on the 8th. It was only live for a couple of days.

This is why I stopped caring when I hit crystal. There's not much fun in blindly playing 30-50 games every day just for points, especially if it's gonna kill your ranking. Let alone 300-500.

I looked for posts on this topic and it seems like the feelings I have are shared by many - I have slammed games (and sent my concerns about my rating [=low, very low] out the window) to get the points to get the next trophy - and am not sure that it is for the better. It IS fun, but sometimes, you are competing against people who seem absolutely tireless, racking up 200-300 and more points in a couple of hours. Sometimes, like now, I find myself in competition with someone who has a ~1500 rapid rating, who is slamming bullet games at the 1100-1200 level and it just isn't worth the effort to try to keep up. I have inadvertently "crashed" by own blitz rating and play below my strength sometimes, but do I really? What is the strength of these other players? Did the guy really "crash" his rating to get ahead here, or is he just like me and just slams slams slams the games, result (and rating) be darned, and you just end up playing fast, garbage chess just to get to the next trophy?

I love it, and hate it at the same time.
