11's still the streak to beat!

BlakeyBChess

2 weeks left in the challenge! One of our members came close today with an 8 game streak. 11's going to be tough to beat!

can you say who came 11 I want to check it

Feel free to contact me through the ChessPathways site (or my chesspathways email if you're already a member) and I can let you know. They achieved the streak on chess.com's biggest competitor site, which I don't think chess.com allows links to, but I can tell you by email happy.png. I'll also be revealing to all ChessPathways member who the winner is when the contest ends and analyzing some of the blitz games, so there will be transparency.

I've checked the games myself, and they appear to be completely legitimate, played against players close in rating to the player himself, etc.

Now there's a two-way tie for first! I verified another 11-game streak!

How very Fischer-like in its grandeur!

Be nice!

Hey everyone! A site I run, chesspathways.com, is hosting an online "BLITZ STREAK CHALLENGE" over the course of the next month. We're giving away a $25 Amazon Gift Card to whoever amasses the longest online blitz winning streak among our members, and it's totally free to join. More prizes may be added depending on participation.

If you sign up on our site, just let me know whenever you achieve a blitz winning streak online of 5 games or more, and I'll add you to our leaderboard! Note that you have to be signed up at our site before you achieve the winning streak, so don't miss out! You'll also get a free "Move by Move Guide to Chess Thinking" when you sign up.

A full list of rules is available on request, but the basics are:

  • Don't cheat / sandbag / intentionally play games against much lower-rated players for the purpose of the streak. I reserve the right to decline prizes if you do
  • Your blitz games should be rated and found using the default pairing functionality. Offering a rematch is ok - again, just don't purposefully seek out lower-rated players to build your streak. Respect the spirit of the challenge!
  • A single draw won't count as a win for your streak, but it leaves the streak intact. A second draw ends the streak (as you've now dropped a full point!)

Good luck everyone! I look forward to seeing who can get the longest streak.

I wish you would run one for losing streaks as well because that would be the only competition I could possibly win.
