But if people wish to portray themselves one way in public and another in private chat that’s not ok

It's best if you don't reply to him. They are provoking you to make mistakes. So that they can use that as an evidence to mute you or get you banned.

And, if he is rude in Private chat, take screenshots, report the said user for abuse (if you click the verbal abuse option, more subcategories pop up. You will see an option called "rudeness")    , input evidences  in the note. Report him. If you need more help, PM me. I will try to assist you as much as I can.

Thanks Hopkins. That sounds similar to what was said in let’s make the community better how sometimes people gang up on other members and goad them in to saying things they shouldn’t and then proclaim themselves the victims. The thing that bothers me is how people say something to get a rise and then delete it. Posting it with full knowledge they will delete it once it’s achieved it’s goal. There’s some good work for a therapist on this site!!😂

I agree.  Saying that an organised form of actions are being done to slander them, even though they are making lists of users who disagree with them, calling them suspicious, telling their cult members secretly to mass report them. This is also an organised and well calculated  form of slandering. Ironic, isn’t it? Slandering people just because they disagreed with them is simply childish. Well, guess what, nobody likes being slandered.     Every users here are equal and should be treated equally. Nobody has the rights to act like a mod and threaten other users, especially if that person is a non-premium member.  Publicly threatening other users of mass reporting (in a passive aggressive way)  is not an act of spreading positivity.  If you want positivity that much, stay positive yourself, instead of discussing about "who is a bad user and who is not". You are not the one to decide. Follow the rules and report if you think someone should be reported. No need for such scene making and public drama. Drama is only breeding more negativity and conflicts.

Who is a troll and who is not, this is mods jobs to decide. Constantly threatening people of blocking them is also a negative act. If you want to block, just do it. No need to keep announcing it in public forums.

Personally, I think there should be a rule against mini-modding.

Chess.com did create this idea of a community defender group.

https://www.chess.com/club/community-defenders

Mini mods but what they were supposed to do was not too clear though. So of course the bunny starts guessing wildly.

And of course it got locked. Can't exactly remember why though.  Something to do with a slight misunderstanding with @BartSimpson50 the mod,  the bunny believes.

I like the lists. Didn’t know they had them for the bad guys tho. I’ve seen the boards they put up and lists of names. It makes me smile. Takes me back to when I was in school. I like it when people can be so tongue in cheek and make a joke thing like that. They must have a real sense of humour!
