I'm starting a YouTube channel

Sort:
JMB2010

Just found this thread now and I like your vids. In fact I was even considering starting a channel myself but I wouldn't know where to begin!

Yeah, he was dead serious too. All because Naka only won 80% of the games :)

By the way, I like your endgame video InfiniteFlash. Very instructive. I remember when you showed that position to me for the first time :D a6!!?! lol.

I can honestly say that one thing I have never been accused of.

A major change POSSIBLY is coming to the channel.

I will likely change the name of the channel, design and video topics entirely. Rather actually, its not me, its "we".

The university I am attending may use the channel as its avenue to really get ourselves out there to generate more buzz. (since it already has over 80 subscribers, rather than starting from scratch, but this is me just speculating) We also might just start from scratch.

If what I think is coming, the channel will be InfiniteFlash no more, but WILL be replaced with many others, many of who are much higher rated and better players than myself.

So if the username on youtube changes, please don't unsubscribe because youre not sure how the channel got on your subscribers list.

Mainline_Novelty

Whoa, awesome!

Uh...does this mean we won't be doing a video together anytime soon..? :P

InfiniteFlash

I'll be updating and transforming the channel away from InfiniteFlash, into the university's chess channel in the next few days. An entire overhaul will be coming.

I have to check if I am allowed to post any personal videos....like the ones I've been posting haha.

@mainline_novelty, probably not Cry

@JMB, thanks a bunch dude

lol what the hell, you shouldn't be restricted from having your own channel.

RonaldJosephCote

               Why don't you get the official rundown from the University before you "speculate" yourself out of a cusshe gig.

RonaldJosephCote

       NM JMB2010;  Its kind of easy.  Film with a good quality digital camera.  Then use Microsoft Movie maker to edit. It has tools to change the format too.  U-Tube walks you through the up-loading, posting part after you open your account. Its free,--for NOW!

I am not sure whether or not I can post personal stuff outside of the chess club, on the channel just yet. I'm not being restricted here yet. Nothing like this has been determined as of yet.

RonaldJosephCote

                If your not, you will be. What's wrong with doing both, if you have the time and energy. Let the school do what they want, and get your own channel too.  Unless your using their equipment to film.  If you are using their equipment, find out if the school is Republican. If they are, then MAKE A DEAL!!   How do you think I got an Honorable Discharge?

InfiniteFlash

WOW, youtube will not let me change the URL of the youtube channel again.

It's by far one of the dumbest things I've ever encountered. It looks like the channel will not be changed after all.

I'll be creating another channel that you guys can check out though. That one will be the university affiliated one.

RonaldJosephCote

           Change the URL ??    that's probably for security reasons.    Here's how to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, and get some brownie points to boot.  You tell your professor of the chess club, that you have your own U-tube channel for chess, and would he want to work in tandem with you. Then on the Universities channel, you plug THIS site. I'm sure Erik wouldn't mind.

Nakamura vs Aronian Game 3

I made this video much longer than the previous two since this game had a very interesting tactical part near the end of the game. That required quite a bit of criticism of Aronian's play.
