Yes, if you lose a vacation day it sometimes adds 24 hours to the rest
Old Thread: IMPORTANT Change Coming to Vacation Use!

OK, it's definitely real. His time had again run down somewhat when I checked late this afternoon, to 2 days and 1 hour remaining. Then he went on vacation again for a few hours, now he's back off vacation again, and his clock has had at least 19 hours added back onto his time-- it now indicates he has 2 days and 20 hours left. Probably it bumped him back up to the full 3 days time 4 hours ago. That's the third time this has happened since my most recent move about 3.5 days ago.
So apparently with the new rule if you go on vacation for a couple hours you lose a full day of vacation, but when you come back off of the mini-vacation, you get a full day added back onto your real game clock. Weird!
EDITED to correct a number.

I don't want the extra 24 hours. I just don't want to lose a vacation day.
Also, has anything moved about the 0 seconds vacation bug?

Haddad56 is going to lose all his vacation because of his games at 0 seconds and 1 day of vacation being taken every few games. So it certainly doesn't happen only to me.

Kacparov, it rather looks like you have to actively manage your games in a way that you previously did not have to... or you'll end up rated 1600!

I hsave 505 games now. I should get down to 400 soon, but it will be hard to get lower because of my opponents moving once per few days, going on vacation often, refusing to move etc. The problem will arise when I will go on World Champs, I think the departure is on 18th October.

Well then you should hire dpruess to play in your games for you, and you'll be doing fine when you return!

400 games or 400 rating after vacation runs out ?

On chess.com 400 games...maybe 400 rating on some other site :P I've been down to 1080 on one because I timed out lol. But I don't care

The question is: when two parties have agreed to play a game on the assumption that each side will take maximum 3 days per move, is it fair that one party can manipulate to get more than 3 days to make a move (after taking out the vacation time) ?

I've played Kacparov four times in the last six months. He doesn't hang about, one of a very select few (in my playng circle, anyway) who plays quickly enough in obvious positions. I wasn't aware of his difficulties at the time, which makes his efforts all the more impressive.

If you can't manage to keep up with both, at least it's an easy choice as to which is higher priority.
Just think, folks, when Kacparov wins the World Champs it will be at least in tiny part because of practice he gets by beating up on most of the rest of us at chess.com!

My opponent has somehow managed to roll back his clock again. 11 hours ago he was down to 2 days and 4 hours for his move, and now it's back to 2 days and 18 hours again. That's the fourth time now since my most recent move that almost a full day has been added back onto his clock. Every time it gets down to close to 2 days remaining for his move, it jumps back up to 3 days remaining and starts counting down again. It's now been 5 days since my move and the current reading has only 6 hours lopped off his initial 3 day clock. For most of this 5 day period he hasn't been on vacation, and 4 days ago he was down to only 2 days of vacation remaining.
Must be one of those secret diamond member perks!
Yes, I figured there must have been other short vacations I didn't see which account for not much time draining from the initial three days, but I'm convinced that when I checked previously he was shown with just barely over 2 days remaining. And any time in the last two days when I've glanced at my games list I haven't had any opponents indicated as being on vacation (although I see a different player is shown on vacation right now).
