So the rule isn't implemented yet? I thought it was already. I read pages 1-3 of the discussion, then skipped the rest :)
I now have a break, then I'm going to World Champs in 2nd half of October. But it's still 2 momths to go.

I managed 1200 for some time. I don't need to take vacation when I have Internet access, even if it's just an hour daily. But when I go to a tournament, I have no Internet access for over a week, so I have to go on vacation. And every time I come back my games are at 0 seconds...
you couldn't be anymore clearer than that bsrasmus :-)
I maybe don't have 0 seconds, but about a minute. So I can play in a maximum of about 10 games before the protection is triggered. But certainly that's what the database has.
Erik
about time but what about those who really go on holiday will they have to put in a request to staff to have their games put on hold for longer than a day say a week or 2 for instance?
it's a day minimum not maximum
not 1200, 725 :D
and not in all of them, I have something like 100 14-day games which I fine (I hope) - I've been off for just 11 days
yes I have see that happen with awardchess when he goes on vac alot of his game goes down to zero sec.
Yes I don't know either. I messaged Kohai a lot, but she said is busy with live chess 3. And no response from Erik. So I have to live with it for a few months already.
Perhaps I missed it -- I did see that it was a one-day minimum, not switch to integer-day granularity (i.e. 0.1 days costs one day, whereas 1.1 days costs 1.1 days, not two), but what if someone goes on vacation twice within the same 24 hour period -- is the second occurrence covered by their first instance of vacation or does that cost them two days of vacation? I suspect the latter -- at least it should be if this is to be effective.

Grobe-- see post #82.
or have less than 750 games going at once...
