Interaction with my coach!

Hey guys,

I signed up for a coach to work with at chess.com.  What do we use to talk via chess.com when we eventually have a lesson?

Hi! Just send your coach a quick e-mail asking for confirmation of how lessons are to be taken/delivered. I have some coaching sessions in January that will be done via wiziq.com, for example.

Ok,

He said that its connected via chess.com because they have a live server option, but do I challenge him to a game and then we go from there, or is there a special live chat option that I'm not seeing?

It is all very new to me as well so I am short on answers. In the help section I see "Many offer online coaching right here - using the Analysis Boards in our Live Chess interface. It's a fantastic virtual classroom for chess instruction!", so yeah, live interactive sessions with your coach via chess.com's live chess interface seems to be the ticket.

I'm not entirely sure of the process either but assume that the coach would make contact at some point to let the student know what they must do.

Oh, just found the coaching FAQ if you want to take a look at it: http://www.chess.com/coach_/faq.html

Who is your coach? I will soon take some lessons from GM Rakhmanov.

Meeting for the lesson is done at the live server (chess.com live) .During the lesson the anlysis board is used in order to display visually what is being thought. The audio set up is found at the analysis board as well. I will invite you to a analysis board at the scheduled time.

If you have any other questions you are welcome to contact me.

Best regards,

Ori
