Introduction

Hi,

I joined a few days ago and have been playing a ton of games and having a lot of fun doing it. I've been on vacation and my kids are at their mom's so, I have have lot of free time. I figure this will give me a nice baseline as to my ability. Come Monday I'll cut down to a game or so a day.

I joined because I want to get better after playing for 10 years or so mostly yahoo or msn. I like to set up here much more. I can never really bring my self to study and look over games. I'm hoping this site will motivate me to study a bit. Inspired by an on-line article (400 pts in 400 days) I've set a more realistic goal of 300 pts in a year, because I don't have much time to devote. I think it would still be an accomplishment and 1600 level seems like it should be more fun that 1300 level.

I joined “The Learning Group” and hope to find some players who are about my ability (1300) and like to play quick games (15 + 10 sec) w/o a lot of chatting. So if that's you say hi. I like to play face to face as well but I don't know anyone locally who plays.
