Is Beating Someone 165 Points Higher a Big Deal?

To brag on myself a little, in Bullet chess I just beat a player rated 165 points higher than me. Of course, I also sometimes lose to people rated lower than me. Does my victory mean I might actually be improving, or is it a statistical fluke?

No I've beat players stronger then my raiting

In general, your win rate v +165 rating is somewhere in the neighborhood of 25%, so it's uncommon but not unseen.
You might have heard this before, but given your level of ~800 rapid, I wouldn't advise playing a lot of bullet games. I'm a person who plays bullet frequently myself, but I really don't think it will be the best for your improvement.

Thanks for the advice. I play bullet chess when I don’t have a lot of time, or to learn time management. I prefer rapid, and am much better at it than bullet as you saw.
