Lichess has a couple of key issues (I've got accounts both in Lichess.org & Chess.com). The first one refers to lag compensation. They've developed an unworthy algorithm that, in theory, allows users with poor Internet (99% of the whole Lichess pool), to play fast time control games. The problem comes when lag compensation compensates too much to users with poor Internet, giving away more seconds than desirable. As a direct consequence, as the poorest is your Internet, you've got more chances to win the game. That's terrible. It's a kind of cheat, and Lichess has become the paradise for switch-laggers. The developers do nothing. The second problem is cheating. I know it's not just an issue of Lichess, but they do nothing either. Yes, they close some accounts, but much more ones are free to cheat every day. According to their knowledge, cheating is a kind of fake news on Lichess. So well, your choice, gents.
Yes, you would be the resident expert on cheating wouldn't you....
Nope, I wouldn't ... I'm just sharing my own experience. In fact, you always can find answers like yours on both chess platforms. After playing thousands of games on Lichess and much less here, that's what I think. Regards.

The reason I prefer chess.com is that the graphics in the app are far superior. With lichess there's like a delay on every move, and the sound is unrealistic. JMO.
