Profitable ?

No. I don't think it's profitable.

However, I do think it's worth the money you spend.

/ "Profitable" means you would make more money from it than you spend. Most people play chess for fun, not profit.

If it helps you enjoy your hobby enough to be worth the money it’s a good buy.😏

I upgraded from gold to platinum for the unlimited rated puzzles, game analyses and explorer.

You could technically find free elsewhere but I like to keep things under one roof and one app for record keeping or progress tracking.

Lol...Bishop, you always crack me up with your witty quips. Your profile pics are always cool, too-----the best one to date was that one of Morphy with the Twilight Zone-y eyes...

But on a serious note, though, I think the OP was referring to *figuratively* profiting from a Premium membership, and the answer to his question is: MAYBE. The only way one can truly benefit from a Premium membership is to have the spare time to properly make use of it, as in using the videos/unlimited puzzles/unlimited lessons/unlimited game analyses, etc... if you work a lot--like me-- or have a busy home life--like me-- then a Premium membership is simply not practical, and in there s case very (materially) *unprofitable*...

The cost is around two cups of coffee for one months.

Given the amount of time I spend on this site, yes it is well worth it.

In terms of money - no, of course!

In terms of experience and entertainment - yes! You profit in terms of knowledge gained.

It’s worth it to start to get improvements in your game. It can take you to a certain level. F you want to go much higher, then it will will require a lot more than a premium account can offer.

going to disagree about the value here:

if you properly used the unlimited lessons & puzzles features alone you would probably make sufficient progress to easily get to 1500... unlimited analysis, endgame trainer, opening explorer & unlimited videos with no distracting ads ought to take you the rest of the way to a 2000+ level with enough study.

Totally agree with that one ! 👍
