A Canadian and an Australian say yes (OK, with supporting evidence), a Southerner says no, an American from an unidentified part of the country says maybe. I am none the wiser LaughingLaughing

We just changed that, in December I think.  Sunday alcohol sales are legal now, but it requires an addition to the regular liqour license.

I remember an old-timer Okie referring to Oklahoma as, "Here, in the south."  I always thought Oklahoma was a western state.

It sure felt south when I lived there! Cool

Makes sense, Reb. The only reason I asked was because the first time I encountered the term "blue law" was in connection with Baltimore

I'm a Michigander, Nick, but if it's in the U.S., I've been there.  I should have included LA in my list, but not North and South Carolina, nor Arkansas.

In Denver at the moment, Kansas on Sunday, and Texas on Monday.  Those Texan's ain't Southerners, just ask 'em.

They're Texans.

Do you deal with the cold of the North or the heat of the South better ?

Oh I'll deal with any number of New York and Chicago winters over New Orleans heat and humidity!

Blue laws are stupid, and unconstitutional.

Yes, poison is right. Texans have their own sovereign country, until elections. Then they suck just like every state in the union. But, NY5, you are never going to get the compass of the U.S. unless you are aware of Ghetto, U.S.A. It's not talked about on the BBC, but it exists as much as any part of the U.S.Wink
