Language Exchange?

I'm not talking profanities. But I could translate 'How are you' as 'You suck', or 'Hello' as 'Move'. And no - you wouldn't be able to figure it out, unless you spoke my language.

English - Polish translations (use at your own risk).
hello - Czesc.
how are you? - Jak leci?
I am doing well, thank you - Dobrze, dzieki.
good luck in the game - Powodzenia.
you are a strong chess player - Jestes silnym graczem.
shall we play again? - Gramy jeszcze raz?.
would you be up for a game - Czy masz ochote na gre.

There wouldn't be much point to the joke if I was, now would there?

Nah, USA is the place to be :). Screw the rest.

Well I am new and I haven't come across any Afrikaans people (sort of german and Netherlands mix but sort of not at all.) This is an interesting thread so I'll add my bit if you like!
hello - Hello
how are you? - Hoe gaan dit met jou?
I am doing well, thank you - Ek is goed, dankie!
good luck in the game - Sterkte met die spel.
you are a strong chess player - Jy is 'n baie goeie speeler
shall we play again? - Kan ons weer speel?
would you be up for a game - Wil jy dalk teen my speel?

Croatian (hrvatski)
hello bok!
how are you? Kako si?
I am doing well, thank you Dobro sam, hvala
good luck in the game Sretno u partiji!
you are a strong chess player Ti si jak šahist! (or "šahistica" for female)
shall we play again? Da igramo još?
would you be up for a game?
Huh, I don't realy understand the last sentence. What is "be up"? Literally, it's "biti gore" (to be up at the first flour, in the clouds etc.), but it's not good in a phrase.

Hola, wie gehts, priviet, como sa va, shalom, salam, zdravei, ce mai faci, chetori, yakshemash, kok si, nee hao, anyung hasayoh, koneecheewah, manh khoe khong, and, well, I'm afraid that may be all I know. At least all I can think of at the moment, and apologies if my transliterations are not quite right, but hey, I'm just a dumb American. But at least this dumb American would like to learn more languages, and is happy to help others who may want to improve their English. That said, it does amaze me how well my chess opponents from all over the world write English, so maybe my offer will not be an especially useful one. Whatever. It might be nice if we as a group could come up with a table, indexed by language in one direction, and by phrase in the other direction, so that a member could refer to this table and greet an opponent in his or her own language. My ignorance prevents me from being able to complete such a table myself, which is why I am reaching out and seeking help. I was hoping to include such phrases and words as:
hello
how are you?
I am doing well, thank you
good luck in the game
you are a strong chess player
shall we play again?
would you be up for a game?
OK, so with that, I leave it to the group to hopefully fill in all the blanks. Thank you, gracias, merci, danke, spaceba, mange takk, obrigado, mulumesc, shokaran, toda, gahmsahmneedah, sheh sheh, arigato, ...
