I’ve been away for a while, tried to start lessons again and I’m just videos with narration - is there a way to get the lessons in text ?? Audio narration is no use to me. Thank you!

You can use chessable to learn openings. Or search for studies on lichess

Thank you - I am specifically wondering about here on chess.com . One of the reasons I paid for membership is the lessons.

I found the captions in the web version today -  have not found them in the  app - but the text is white which is not readable against the white of the chess board!! Also as they are captions, they come up a few words at a time instead of the readable paragraphs that we used to have. This also makes it very hard to follow.

These lessons appear to have been designed with NO attention to accessibility. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Wait-----why is the audible version of the chess lessons/videos of no use to you? Are you hearing-impaired?

I have trouble following videos. Partially hearing, partially auditory processing. But either way, I can't make use of the training the way it is now, the way I could use Chess Mentor.

Came to the forums because I too would like text instead of a video for the lessons. Has anything changed? I prefer to read instead of listening to audio

…turn on subtitles

Me too. Audio is too time consuming. Plus it disturbs others in the room if I am not alone.
