Live Chess Stats: A Painful Dilemna...

why is spelling my name so hard?? :(
I've actually reached the point where my brain sees Eric and thinks it's a spelling mistake! This is unfortunate, since it's the more common way to spell the name.
after hearing everyone, this is 95% sure: wipe games and stats, keep ratings (rounded down to even 100), reset RD. we'll give everyone notice so they can download their games.
What is the reason for the rounding ?

It does seem oddly arbitrary, and I'm not sure what it accomplishes. It makes just as much sense as rounding to the nearest 1 (i.e. don't bother to reset ratings at all).

reduces the upward "drift" a little. also, rounded corners are pretty?

Reset the Live Chess 1 Ratings , but give time to save the past Live Chess 1 games.
I have been through a year of bad connections, questionsable losses, and .....etc...
I would have to play another 3,ooo games to neutrualize the dark and messed up days, months of Live Chess 1.

i had a lot of disconnects and i will have tons of disconnects even if they bring out a perfect version but thats because of internet going out when somene calls, starting out new would be great just make that chess.com machine send a message forward to every1 that it will be reset and that every1 which wishes to keep his/her games should download the PGN seeming not every1 spends time on the forums..

I believe it would make the most sense to wipe out everything. In that way you start the new Live Chess with a clean slate. As a result, no one will be able to complain about anything, because it's all brand spanking new.
Regards, Zug
Yeah pretty much.

Eric you can't please everyone. Although you try. lol. Unless you have some macro that gave everyone their last rating, start it over. (Just send some warnings to tell folks to save their games if they want to keep them).

We all started at 1200 -- what's the harm in doing it again. Plus, haven't you been up-front about the intent to reset the ratings right from the start?

archive the old games and start a new achive for live chess 2.0
I agree. Who cares about the rating or the record, but lets save the games (preferable on the site rather than having to download them).
I often play from different computers and so having all of my games here on this site is really nice. Once I download them it becomes a pain to go back to them.
Whatever Erik decides is best is what i agree with.
