Apparently, from those sites, there is nothing within an hour or the Hilton Head area, but thank you for the information.
I also found what I believe was a retirement community (not 100%) sure on that that listed they had a chess club. I didn't list it since I assumed that was limited to the members of that community.
Del Webb, Sun City in Bluffton has a chess club, if that's what you're referring to, but it is only open to residents of that community. Thanks again.
Yeah, that was probably it. That was the only other thing I found in a quick search.
You could always start your own. Just find a place, advertise, take a couple of sets and something to do if no one shows up. Do it consistently and you might find get some people.
Hello HHI! While not actually in HH, I am running a small club out of the Beaufort Area that we are looking to grow. We presently meet at the St Helena Branch library on Saturdays starting at 1pm (they are closed this weekend though, Dec 22nd). We are listed as an Affiliate with US Chess and now that we are starting to get more attendance I am looking to do some rated play in the near future. Does anyone know if there are any chess clubs in the Hilton Head SC area?
