losing connection all the time since latest update

No problems here (but I have good internet.) I did run into a situation where my opponent lost connection several times while he/she was clearly ahead of me. In these cases is the appropriate "fair play" for me to simply resign so my opponent doesn't lose to "auto resign" due to the connection?
