Make online chat in games fun again

I love that Chess.com has a chat function but if you remotely use it in any way then you repeatedly get muted and your inbox filled with threats of account deactivation. So much as a single :kiss emoji results in the tilted player on the other side of the screen smashing thumbs down and report player. Why do we have all of these emojis if we aren't allowed to use them? God forbid you try any attempt at friendly banter... thumbs down, report player. Respond to that angry Polish guy that has started ranting at you for trading queens... oh man you already know what is coming... thumbs down, report player.

Players have the ability to self moderate (mute the opponent). Why does chess.com need to mute me every other week for days for attempting any form of communication? Your poster boy Magnus Carlsen plays drunk, shows up late for games, tries to get in players heads, taunts opponents and calls people retards (hilarious) but god forbid I send a :kiss emoji to some Indian dude that says "he doesn't do gay".

Players that repeatedly report others should get a message from chess.com that reminds them there is a mute feature or better yet just a message that says "dude... cyberbullying... hahahahahhahahah just like look away from the screen bro... hahahahhaha"

Well gosh, Josh, you may have some sort of point. Perhaps some friendly overtures of yours were misunderstood.

On the other hand,  your opponents who reported you, seem to have been telling you to lighten up a bit.

Exactly... they could just mute me... After my last suspension I emailed chess.com and asked them for examples of what was innapropriate that deserved a suspension and a guy named Yuri replied

"Boo.bs or But.ts?"

and

"Oh shid Magnus what's up?"

I don't even know what words are disallowed here... seriously some kiddie gloves on the words that are on the censored list

Like I asked a guy today if he ever picked his nose... is that against community guidelines? I get a freaking message in my inbox now threatening my accounting being permanently banned because I ask someone if they pick their nose?

ya I agree with u. Unless your threatening your opponent (ip address, bad swearing) some taunting and emojis should be perfectly fine

How funny, I often talk with my adversaries and it always goes well. I wonder why you asking a question about sex when there are kids on the website causes problems. 

Instead of playing the victim like a snowflake whining that your free speech was censored (evidently you have no idea what that means), try being respectful. I suspect many people will be happy to joke about with you, but you going all in talking about sex in the first message is not the way to go. In real life, you don't start making weird comments to people then whine when they turn from you. You start easy and if you see they respond well you can go a bit further.

Bro just go to another website if you can't take being a bit more respectful.

Ya I have no clue anymore what you’re allowed to say they’re sure not very clear about it and mute freaking everyone including diamond members so I cancelled my membership 

I’ve played kinda given tips to several people and they all get muted after we play and I got muted for a week in message to adult student I was giving tips to for free it’s ridiculous and this is a 13+ site esp when they let obvious cheaters just keep on getting 100% accuracy 

Dafuq does this site have 10000000x emojis that are only applicable to taunting if we arent allowed to use them? Growing up is a scam I don't ever wanna be old and crusty like you.
