im glad its working again THANKS, it use to say "offline" then u try to log in, and it loads for a hour, then it says offline AGAIN!!! But thanks for helping us, how did u fix it? just a bug, or bad meebo connection?

yeah, that has happened to my friend (ALM4STER) and to me sometimes :)

I have a question about live alerts. What exactly is it? I used to ignore it because nothing came up, but, now I keep getting live alerts and I don't know why.
can u get rod of them, I have a friend and we have bad connection so I get live alerts twice every minute

You can completely turn off chat completely in your Privacy section (Account)
http://www.chess.com/home/privacy.html
Where it says "Chat Bar", use the drop down box and mark as "Never Show" then save settings at the bottom of the page

FYI - meebo fixed a bug in their chatbar, so it should be loading much faster now.
