mobile chess / ipod touch

Just wondering if the mobile chess app would work with an ipod touch?  I heard they don't support flash for java applets.

Specific support for the iPhone and iPod Touch is in the works, apparently.  For instance, see post #13 here.  I'm not sure if the plan is to create some kind of dedicated client you'd get from the App Store or to just do iPhone/Touch support as a web application... or both...

Erik has been known to take quite some time in rolling out bug-free new developments, but I think I have to get one anyway since they are so damn cool.

You think?  To be fair, all other chess sites seem to be standing still when you look at the feature growth around here.  I've been here just over a year and I lose count of all the great stuff that's been added in that interval.  As for bugs, I'd say the quality is very high too (and I manage the development of a web application myself, for whatever that's worth).  Mind you, I've never played Live Chess, which I understand is a source of some frustration.
