New Blitz Tournaments

...wouldn't it be nice....set up so you have to make an hourly move between 12noon---and 6pm for 6---8 matches.  Then they would be over in a two...three day period.  I can't take these long tourneys where people feel the need to halt progress and go on vacation.  Is it just me...I need some feedback here!  Most of us entered a touney that toooook way to long and lost it's attraction for most!  Anyways Tell me what you think ....

the best way to address this is to just be a part of multiple tournaments and events. that way there is always something to do!

trying to coordinate tens of thousands of players and make them all move at specific times etc is really not feasible. everyone here has such different lives and schedules.

we have given you the ability to create your own tournaments and make it so that only people with FAST moving times can play :)

To a fault I do everything to fast.  That would include my occupation, personal life, and other interests.  A lot of my moves are rushed-blunders---so chess that slows me down does offer and provide some harmony in my life.  I just found the few tourneys I entered very exciting, but very slow.   Such is life....

Nice idea. Unfortunately your 12 noon to 6 pm will not be the same as my 12 noon to 6 pm.

Good point Sharukin, but what if there was just a 6-hour time frame to move.  It wouldn't matter what time zone your in...  My point is there ought to be a block of time that one must move in...this will be known prior to joining a particular tournment.   If you can set a day move ....you can set a 1/2, or 1/4 day move parameter.

True, but if you happen to set it for a time when I am supposed to asleep or at work then I won't be playing. I suspect if the opposite is true, I make it hard for you to move you won't play.
