if you have a super high time out rate like i do (40%) you can't enter tournoments, so u might get i new account for that.

On FICS the typical reason that people do it is because the previous account "got in trouble" and they want to bypass any sanctions.
Not _that_ applicable here, but food for thought.

Why do so many members voluntarily close their accounts and then open a new account using a different user name and identity? I'm interested to hear from someone who has done this and why.
