I click on the "..." for each level, and that'll momentarily pop up a little box that says "Hide Section". Which I then click on. If you don't see that little box, maybe that's a new "secure" browser setting?

Dunno what else to suggest, good luck with it.

Ooooo-K...  I see now that you have to click TWICE in order to show/hide the section.  So, yes it does work for me.  But tht then raises the question...

Why make users click TWICE?  Why not a "show/hide section" hover-type pop-up and then only 1-click to actually show/hide the section?

Oh I hear ya. It actually took me a while to figure out that "cute" unique hover double-click --- LOL

But NOW, let's NOT ask for it to be changed! "Let sleeping dogs lie" should be a software mantra!

Aha! Well, it's a good point. At the end of the day, it's a menu with one item on it, which really isn't the best.  I'll see about making it simpler... Thanks!

How about a "Show/Hide Section " label, next to a larger up/down arrow.  Similar to the up/down arrow used on the quick view dialy/puzzle/etc. stats (on member's home page)?

What's the chances of getting the Mastery level from the old Guide added to the new Guide tab?!

Drawing a clear line between the Guide and the "not-Guide" Courses was a big principle behind the redesign, so I don't think we'll mix things back up, as far as the tabs go.

That said, the former Mastery "sections" were just collections of non-guide Courses that matched a particular topic, like Strategy or Master Games. For that, there are these... on the All Lessons tab:

I hope that's somewhat helpful! It should provide easy visibility on the same Course material, as did the earlier sections.

OK, thanks DeepGreene, I do appreciate the truthfulness. Maybe you can help me with something else: when I use the Level menu, it goes from Beginner to Mastery. For example, if I choose Beginner, I'll get a list of courses from the old Guide Beginner level, but also some courses of Level "Beginner-Mastery". Is this because the Mastery level also serves as to include courses that didn't make it into the first four levels of the old Guide? I think that's what you've described previously (dunno why I can't get this lol)

And any insights into how my Next Lesson (well I guess more my next course) is chosen for me? For the first four levels of the old Guide, it was a simple linear list. Now in Mastery level, how's my next course chosen, and is there any way to see my upcoming course(s)?! Then I'm hoping that if I choose an easier course, that the software will keep choosing the next lesson in that course until I finish it?

Suggestion regarding the "retry" option:

In lessons with multiple challenges - where each challenge is a different, unrelated position - it would be nice to have the "retry" option available after each challenge, rather than at the end of the entire lesson.  There are often instances where I'd like to repeat a particular challenge, but as the "retry" option is now, you are forced to go back through all challenges rather than just the one that I want to play through again.

Good idea! I will see if we can do this.

Hi,

First and foremost, congratulations for all the improvements. I think you are doing a great effort.

As regards the new version of the Lessons, I am not able to see the Mastery section (see image below). Why is this? I think it would be worth it.

Sorry if somebody has already asked that question.

Good question! All "Mastery" ever really meant was "NOT part of the Guide."

As such, it included a wealth of Courses that would be perfectly appropriate for beginner and intermediate players, etc., but it created an impression that all of that material was super-advanced and made things hard to discover. That's why the new version deemphasizes that term and uses the Guide and All Lessons tabs to clarify what's in the "core curriculum" vs all the other great stuff available to take.

The old version did offer some groupings of these Courses by different topics and themes. This is paralleled in the new version by these buttons on the All Lessons tab.

Does that make sense? Thanks!

Hmmm, sounds interesting ! ......I shall definitely take a look, this could give me the improvement I’ve been looking for ✌️😎

Keep dreaming... lol.

Best lessons were Mentor style... these courses are a little short and simple... no doubt appealing to those with no attention span. No shortcut to succeed?!

its ok i think there's still room for improvement
