I've seen players that have played no games with exactly 2000 rating. Some others with exactly 1800 rating. That must be the default rating given, right? When I join chess.com, my rating is 1200 for every categories: Bullet, Blitz, Standard, Correspondence, Tactics, etc.
So how is this default rating determined and why are there differences between players?
