We just made a bunch of changes on the site! Here they are:

CUSTOMIZED SITE THEMES

You can now totally customize the way Chess.com looks! Go here: http://www.chess.com/home/edit_theme.html

• create and manage your own themes
• use other people's custom themes as well
• HOW IT WORKS: you see all pages (except the main Chess.com page and other members' homepages) with your theme. The main Chess.com page doesn't change, and you always see other members' pages with their theme (and you can show off your own theme too as everyone who visits your will see it!).

IMPROVED E-CHESS

• improved loading interface for chessboards (doesn't bounce around anymore)
• seek/challenge page includes more stats
• new extra-large boards for those with big monitors

GENERAL UPDATES

• wider sidebar (allows for better menus, info, etc)
• faster website performance with additional servers
• added "Master" as a title for titled players
• some comments and reviews now sort by most recent first
• fixed tracking stuff

• misc bug fixes

we just realized that the theme thing doesn't work well with IE right now (the dynamic preview). it worked well in the dev environment, but not on live. the saved theme is the same, but the dynamic preview works best in FireFox right now. :)

There is nothing like instant gratification.

Dynamic preview... live chess... if I could just get my kids this responsive I'd be king of my castle.

It seems that other players too have created their own special themes, however, whenever I go to any of their homepages I only see the default chess.com settings.  Is this just something that's not working for me or is everyone not seeing others new themes?

ok, that's what I thought the dynamic preview might be, but most things were not updating, so I thought I might be missing something.
