No sound

Am i the only one who keeps having to play with no sound, despite  the fact that my preferences are set to play with sound. There is a bug which means that, every 5 games or so on average, I have no sound, which makes it very hard to play blitz, because I often don't notice when my opponent has moved. Instead, I tend to just resign after 2 or 3 moves, which isn't great for my rating! I have tried clearing my cache, and also switched from Internet Explorer to Firefox, but the problem remains.

Thanks, but clearing my cache or re-booting doesn't always work. The problem has got worse now, the sound has started to cut out halfway through games, giving me a false sense of security that it's working when it is not. I have lost an awful lot of games as a result of this!

Just had the same problem. No sounds in the game. It's extremely distracting and annoying.

The same is happening to me. In Bullet, Blitz etc it's crucial to hear when the opponent has moved.

Me too. Chess.com says they will get to it in 5-6 months as soon as their hydroponic plant project is completed

I turn the sound off. I can't stand it. And the pieces leave a little yellow trail of from/to square movement on the last move.

I have the no-sound issue, so off-putting when it goes during a game.

Same issue here, sound cutting out mid-game, or every 5th,7th game etc.   Only started happening for me in the last week or so.

Same here. Sound works in the App, but not in the web version. The web version is much better to play though. It makes bullet chess impossible. I shall be switching platforms very soon if they don’t sort it out.

I have same issue. When I play on my ipad I usually get no sound during the game (yet it often plays sound during puzzle rush!), or sometimes only sound when I move and not when the opponent moves. I'm nearly done with this site, so many sound glitches it's making playing blitz chess impossible. Come on chess.com - sort this out, it's been going on for a long time now!!

Yea, I need sound or I won't be playing this game anymore.  Because when I play a 10 min game, I am also browsing the internet.  I can't just be waiting on my opponent.  GG.
