Gives depression a whole new meaning LOL
Well, this is interesting. Staff is making political statements when members are restricted. Can you say hypocrisy?

Well, he did say 'Hillery', not 'Hillary'. Maybe it's a non-sequitur comment and he's referring to someone else he knows personally.
Perhaps you should block him.

Penalization would occur if and only if impersonation occurs AND that might cause the person you are impersonating to become liable to a lawsuit or prosecution or become obligated to pay money, or which might cause you to get some benefit from impersonating him/her.
“Things can get tricky with the liability/benefit element of the crime of false impersonation. Maybe you impersonated someone as a joke, or to impress someone else. No harm was done to the person you impersonated, but still you get reported to the police. The question of whether you received any actual or potential benefit from the impersonation can then become key to whether or not you are guilty under California Penal Code 529.” - Palm Springs Defense Attorney Michael Scafiddi
I think thats thats more of the nature of those that play live chess on chess.com vs those that play turn based games...
I know thats generalizing but Ive played thousands of turnbased games and have met maybe 2-3 idiots
while
I havent even played 100 live chess games and have had 5 notable idiots...lol
I have dealt with rude opponents in the past.
However this week I ran into someone from N Korea who went beyond the pale.
His first move came with the word [please don't repost offensive words -- MOD]
I tried to make him see that this was offensive (and would be doubly so for an African American) but he just kept it up.
I simpley quit the game thinking that would be the end of it, but he has challeged me to play twice since then.
Do we have any recourse to block him?

this is how
well played on keeping your focus on the game and winning , its tough to know who you get and how sociable unsociable they may be
start with hi on move 1 get no reply its cool you still got a game , get abused disable chat still got a game
i reckon the lack of a gg / handshake as is traditional in chess at the end of the game is just down to our weakness , we take the losses to heart instead of viewing them for what they are , lessons , learned from doing something you like
Your ABSOLUTELY right SB. But when most people step in the booth, The're going to do what historically the've always done. And choose the lesser of 2 evils.
