You accepted a thematic game which starts from a certain position.
Since its an ongoing game, I can't really say much about whether you got scammed or not though. Some people may use these to scam others though so you have to make sure you really know the position and traps before you accept the challenge....
This is normal. When you create a game, you can make thematic games which start from a certain opening.
When you create a game, below "Standard chess" is a list of openings you can start your game with. (you have to wait for all of the openings to load)
I accepted an online chess on my iphone and when I started the game, it was already 6 moves in and it looks like I was being set up for a checkmate (or at least black was already in a pretty dire situation).
What's the deal? Is this normal or some sort of scam?
