Over the Board Tournaments, using assistance is now eradicated!?

I recently played at a over the board tournament in the UK Major section U160 Ecf (1860) They have tightened up against anyone using any assistance the arbiter before the start announced any mobiles phones leave them in your cars, if you do not have one you can leave them with me , if any mobile phones go off during play you forfeited your game, anyone caught with a mobile phone in the toilet area also forfeits there game! one guy had his phone by his score sheet and it went off and was informed he forfeited his game. I think it's a good thing and about time too dam phones are annoying needed stamping out!!
