Have you tried moving the menu to the side? It works for me.
Play | Live Chess | 10 min What could this mean?

Call me 'petty'.
Okay.
If I understand you correctly, you support Play -> Live -> 10 min. automatically starting a game. I disagree, I prefer the current method that selects 10 min. for you but you have to click Play.
I have accidentally started a game this way back when it auto-started.
However, if I remember correctly, I could've aborted without losing points. In which case perhaps the abort button could be publicized a bit more for accidental game-starting. The touch move rule doesn't really apply here because misclicking is a lot easier than mistouching.
The top menu is for convenience. Roll over Play, then click on 10 minutes beside "Live Chess". A 10 minute game starts. Very intuitive -> Play . . . Live . . . 10 min
This was designed to quickly start a 10 minute game. Nice user interface by the builders of this version of Chess.com. It was changed to not start a game last year. I was told because people complained that it started a game. They eventually decided to change it back.
Well, it is back "Play | Live Chess | 10 min" doesn't start a 10 minute game, but loads a page to allow you to pick Live chess and 10 minutes again, just in case you didn't really mean it.
I support the touch move rule for chess.com. If you navigate to "Play", "Live", "10 min", you have to go with that.
Call me 'petty'; call me 'ridiculous', but I've cancelled my premium status over this.
