Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it. I suggest only joining 'no vacation' tournaments in the future.
Playing live chess while on vacation on online chess side

hi james i agree its what we say in england as taking the piss these players should not be aloud to play if they do not want to play then they should pardon the but french feck off ,their are too many people spoiling the vacation rules

sorry - not a lot we can do about this. people are free to use vacation as they wish. we can't be strict police about how or when people use vacation. i'm not about to setup some vacation review board to review people's requests for vacation. maybe a few of these players want to spend a LOT of time thinking on their games, but don't mind piddling away a few minutes on live. if it frustrates you, i recommend you start some other games and put those out of your mind :)

I think there could be a easy solution, when you are playing on the live chess, then it switches them from vacation mode to active mode on the online side. That would be done on the log in on the live chess. If they are truly on vacation and have a premium account, their online games would go back to vacation mode (nothing lost) or if they are not premium they simply go to the online side and turn on vacation mode again.
Is it possible to be playing live chess while on vacation on the online side? It appears to me that I have seen several of my opponent's that are on vacation are playing on the live chess side of the site. That does not seem fair if that is what is going on. They are just dragging out our games.
