The change in your friends list? A drop from 50+ to 32?

It looks to me like you still have 63 friends.

As far as the change in your rank from 2 million something to 500/600K, that would be a good thing. The lower the number, the higher your ranking. I don't know what has happened but I have seen several other posts about changes in ranking and percentile.

At any rate, your chess rating of 1235 in rapid seems to be about the same, so I would guess that Chess.com changed the definition of who it is ranking you against. If you look at the leaderboards, it says that there are 68 million active rapid players.

Evidently, millions of players were cut from the list.

I’m thinking of cancelling my subscription, it seems almost everyone I play 1200+ or even 1100+ plays extremely accurate and very fast. This last 6/months the level of play has got incredibly better. I was once ranked 142

1415,,,but now I’m unable to beat hardly anybody above 1150,,,,,I find this very strange

I’ve read online there is an epidemic of cheating on chess.com,,,I may be wrong mind,,,,but I’m sure I’m been cheating against on a rather grand scale

Try playing several games unranked and see how it compares. l doubt there would be much shenanigans in unranked. It won't prove anything, but maybe it will take the pressure off.

Chess.com's ranking and percentile data haven't made a lot of sense to me for a long time. In the past, the global listing stated that there were around 60 million active members, but when I divided my ranking by (1-my %tile) I got around 25 million. I made a cursory review of the leaderboard and found it contained many inactive players.

I just did another cursory review of the leaderboard data, and it looks as if they are correcting this discrepancy.

I think people who are inactive are removed from the list

Regarding the rank, there are some updates happening that impact that and until that work is complete there will likely to be changes happening.
