I feel like I'm talikng to my retarded cousin.
He may be your cousin but don't kiss him.

1. I belive the game was started in india around 600 ad.
2. I am not sure I would call chess divine
I wouldn't be suprised that there would be a lot of prisoners who are good at chess, as there is not much else to do in prison beside that and working out.
For the bigots, Just becasue a man has been to jail doesn't make him a criminal and just becasuse a man hasn't been to jail doesn't mean he is not.

I've noticed since starting to play club chess and tournament chess that there are a lot of strange people playing this game. There are some very talented ones but i am sure a few of them have escaped either from prison, the physchatric ward or mad war criminals :)
Watching some of their mannerisims are very amusing and also something to worry about.

seems like you're talking to your self!!!
it's funny how good chess players are so full of themselves and think they are so smart for being good at chess. some of the best players i've ever played in reallife have been ex-cons and schitzophrenic bums!
yet i do still believe chess is a divine game?
