puzzle, complete then not completed

Every so often, I’ll complete a puzzle level. I’ll go from 15 to 16 for example. I’ll get the fireworks, get asked if I want to share or continue. But when I hit continue and all of the sudden I have to finish the same level again. I’ll only need about 10% of the points, it’s only a handful of puzzles, but still. What’s with this? Is this going to continue into the high ranks, because each rank needs more and more points to complete a level.

I haven't seen that particular issue in a while but it almost always happened when leaving the puzzle after promotion, then coming back in a different session later.
