Quitting before you lose

I'm a new member and a new chess player looking to improve. But one thing that's happened a few times alreadg is my opponent quitting as soon as they lose the upper hand or even a few key pieces they resign.

Is that the case here on this site? It makes playing very frustrating to not be able to get to the end.

Unfortunately one could say common sense here. Losing the queen or the obvious chance to win the game many times people just leave. Why should they care? Its online and they have no personal relation to the opponent, so they just leave wasting time of the opponent. Some childish ones come back short before time runs up in the hope the opponent is away. Welcome to the internet
