I like rapid, but time limits without increments are imo stupid and they are like a chess parody. think of a totally lost game where the loser goes into a check frenzy in order to eat the winners remaining 30 secs. Is this chess? No imo.

Many years ago, when I was learning to play chess, there was no Internet, no Incement-Clock, just plain fixed for either the hole game or at least for the first 40 moves.
I played 20m / game, 25m / game and 90m/40moves, 1h rest.
Today it's without increment, but because you are already the second, who only likes with increment, next week (Friday/Saturday) there will be 15/10 Tournaments on https://www.chess.com/club/rapid-tournaments-lovers

Just played in a rapid tournament (30/0). Does anyone know what the numbers in the 4th column of the standings represent? The 1st column shows 1st place, 2nd, etc., the 2nd column has the players' names. The third is the ratio of points earned to games played. Then there's the 4th column, which I can't figure out.

Tie-breaking -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tie-breaking_in_Swiss-system_tournaments
(probably Sonneborn-Berger: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonneborn%E2%80%93Berger_score)

@pjw65 Thanks! That makes sense.
@manekapa I was referring to the column under the scales. When I was playing, the scales weren't there. Thanks for the link. How did you find the link?

If you open the game in your archive with a web browser (not an app), there is a link to the tournament page.

weekly Wednesday 15|10 Swiss at 19:05 UTC (20:05 MET / 11:05 am PT).
weekly Friday 15|10 Swiss at 17:05 UTC (18:05 MET / 9:05 am PT).

weekly Sunday 20|10 Swiss at 15:05 UTC (16:05 MET / 7:05 am PT).

I'm not keen on 0-increment, I'd be happier if it were 10+10 or similar. The whole point in playing rapid is that I don't end up with 0 time to complete a game.
Did you read the post just bevore your's ?
All Rapid Tournaments are with increment 10, 15+10 and 20+10. Club is big enouth to do multiple Tournaments per week and is still growing, the greater, the better it will be.
Direct link for Monday 15+10 that starts at 19:05 UTC: https://www.chess.com/live#t=1033611
Subscribe 5-10 minutes before it starts, must be a member of https://www.chess.com/club/rapid-tournaments-lovers.

There is also the idea of a multiple rounds tournament with just one game (1 round) per week and playing whenever you and your opponent like, time control 60/0 or 30/30 or whatever..
See Forum post https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/swiss-tournament-60-0-play-whenever-you-and-your-opponent-like-5-rounds-1-round-per-week
At the moment it's just an idea, please discuss.
