Rating: 1350=750???

I am 750 rated in Rapid and decided to make a brand new account to see what my rating would be. I said I was intermediate and it put me up against an 1100. I beat him without much of a problem and then it gave me 4 1350s. I won the first game, drew the next two, and lost the final game before it gave me a rating of 1352. I know some days you play stronger than others but I was just playing rapid games on my main account and I had about a 50% win rate and drew like 1 game. What is going on???

the account is powerpunch1071 if you wanna check it out

Any rating system that is not fully round robin will fail to rate the players properly.

powerpunch107

in theory i guess so but a 600 point increase is a bit fishy

Okay I looked. In one of the draws you were dead lost, and one of the games you won was after 5 moves when nothing had really happened yet and there was no advantage. The 2nd win was in 17 moves, apparently a resignation but the player still had chances (moving the white knight would have stopped the mating threat). There really isn't enough information to say what your rating should be in the new account. A few early wins can skew your rating upwards, but after a few dozen more games you should reach your true level.

Play 10 games a day on each account for 5 days.

Oh, looks like you already played that much on this one. Ok, so do it on the other account too.

No, lol, because after A plays B, there is some effect on the subsequent rating change of when B plays C.

powerpunch107

Well yeah obviously not with the elo system
