It seems that cheating detection is much weaker than before.

Cheating discussion

Da cheating detection here works as follows:

1) da cheetah joins chess.com

2) da cheetah start playing games (mostly in tournaments, I guess)

3) da players start to suspect something

4) da players press the Report button in da cheetah's profile

5) some time later (from less than an hour if da cheetah is very arrogant and there are many reports, to infinity if da cheetah is kinda a noob and nobody cares) da cheetah gets disappeared

chesscom is a business, they don't care about chess, they can cheat all they want and it's very likely that nothing will happen, I once reported a player in a 4-player game in free for all, who helped another, and the response from the chesscom moderator was that it was allowed, so it's no longer free for all.

The perception of cheating levels is orders of magnitude more than the actual amount. The vast majority of games and players are clean.

The site closed more than 116,000 accounts in April for fair play violations and has a full team of staff working on reports along with some automated systems for detection.
