The rating change will be larger the larger your RD (rating deviation) is. RD is basically a measure of how accurate your rating is. RD goes down every time you finish a rated game (presumably your rating becomes more accurate) and goes up with time (presumably your rating becomes less accurate the longer ago the games it is based on were played).
So while you were on vacation for 10 days, your RD increased. This may be what accounts for the greater change in rating. Or there's a bug. :-)
I've realized that since few days ago the rating adjustment showed in a game with similar ratings of both players has increased, maybe I'm wrong but this is my perception. I mean that ,for example, a game between ratings of 1578 and 1598 now shows the possibility that the player with higher rating could decrease in 20 points if lose the game, while few days before in similar games the rating adjustment was near 10 points. Has anything changed?. The only difference, in my case, is that I've been in vacation for 10 days. Does it affect new rating variations in any manner?
