Rating Change on Timeout?

Does anyone know if there's a minimum number of moves that have to take place for your rating to change on a timeout?  I ask because an opponent timed out on a recent game and my rating did not change at all.  No big deal if there is, but just curious how that's supposed to work.

Thanks

Too short to count for statistical and rating purposes.

I think that the rule is something like "The game doesn't count before White has played his fourth move".

Someone will confirm or correct this, no doubt.

Yep, that's it.  I was pretty certain that was the case.  It makes sense as it wasn't a real test of skill at that point, just kind of curious as to what the actual threshhold is.

Thanks

Correctly reasoned.

I've also heard under 4 moves doesn't count.
