It has been dead for 6 weeks. Why did you post that?

because i was looking on my profile at my content and saw how many hits it had and i was surprised because that is alot.

VernalFire

there has been 89 hits on the subject, do you think you have achieved the answer now?

sleepingbeauty

there are 89 ( now 90 posts.) yes. but there have been over 41000 people who have looked at this forum without posting in it. that is all i was saying. i started it so the number shows up in my content. i was simply surprised it was so many..

TheGoalkeeper

Ratin'sss. Beatz me.

Benzodiazepine

About -200 compared to USCF/FIDE ratings in my experience.

Meaning, if you're a 1600 here, you'll most liekly be a 1800 USCF/FIDE.

MindWalk

I'm the opposite: rated nearly 2100 here but only about 1900 USCF.

The standard live ratings are more accurate* than they were when you started this thread, but now they are inflated. Before they were terribly deflated.

*i.e. closer to FIDE, USCF, etc.

Is that the answer you want?

I hope so, becuase it reinforces earlier comments that such comparisons are meaningless. Ratings are accurate within a pool when they are based on games played and a proper Glicko or Elo formula. That is no longer true of the standard live ratings on chess.com.
