Sometimes its hard to imagine, i win from a 1026 and loose from a 1005
I lost more points, on 1005 then i got from 1026, in my opinion slasher 1026 was realy a better player 1005 won on time (while i almost got him after a draw situation). Ok well the math must be solid i gues..
If anyone knows how to calculate it in excel i be happy..

We'd need your RD (rating deviation) in order to calculate.  Either way, it's not a concrete number.  It only represents your position on the curve, and it's relative to all the other players.  Your rating could change by as much as your rating deviation, but that doesn't mean you're a dramatically better or worse player than you were 1 day ago.

hmm what i wonder is.. now that i'm 3 weeks on this site, i play around a certain average. At the moment i feel the rating is below it. If i would start a different acount (since i had 3 weeks of training here), would that acount get a higher rating, compared to if i would keep on playing ?.

The reason is that in the first weeks i played terrible and 2 weeks later is see i do much better understand the games. It feels like i made a foolish start, and it might be more realistic if i started over. it feels like the past is draining me down.

Well i'm not sure if i will do it, the only reason would be that i like to play around 1013 level games but oponents they often drop games if of lower rated people accepts a chalenge

No, if your rating is truly below what you feel you are playing then, of course, your rating will rise to your actual skill level. Just be patient and keep playing games until your rating reaches where it's supposed to be.

In addition, the creation of a new account is against site rules:

Only One Account

Members may only have ONE Chess.com account. Members who create more than one account may have all accounts closed.

So, just keep playing on your current account. You'll get there eventually.

Also you should keep in mind that a having a higher rating doesn't mean you should win all of your games against lower-rated players. In general (and I might be mistaken on the numbers here) the assumption is that you will win 75% of your games against players 200 points below you, and lose 75% of your games against players rated 200 points higher.

In short, if you beat a 2500 in a single game, that doesn't mean your rating should be 2500; and if you lose to an 800, that doesn't mean your rating should be 800.

ah ok thanks, it clarifies... hmm 75%.. the gausian curve ?
