why ask for more money? why not be happy with the $99 i pay every year? i am tired of greedy apps

$99 / year is also the cost of the top level of premium membership of Diamond, in US Dollars. Gold premium membership is around a third of that (I think - my screen shows Australian Dollars, with Diamond costing $128 AUD / year and Gold costing $38 AUD / year).

I suppose it is possible that an intermediary is involved.  Some people have reported buying memberships through the Apple store/ Google app store. 

It is possible that in countries outside the US, other intermediaries are involved.
